Williams House Public Library |
Isn't this just the prettiest library? It's the Williams House Public Library in Paihia, the Bay of Islands. Today is a free day on the tour, so after a leisurely morning, I ventured into the town to have a look around. Once I'd discovered the library, of course I had to go inside. As well as being the prettiest library I've seen, it's also got to be the smallest!

Damage Done by Amanda Panitch |
I checked out the Young Adult section and was absolutely delighted to find my critique partner/beta reader's book on the shelf! (I've never seen it in any of the British libraries I've popped into.) If you look on the acknowledgements' page of Amanda Panitch's 'Damage Done' (Hello, Amanda!) you'll find my name. 😀
For such a small town, there were a surprising amount of places where you could get books. As I'd just finished a book I'd brought along on holiday, I was able to drop it off at a second-hand book shed, and the lady there let me choose another one in exchange - excellent!

Bit of a bonus library, although our one in Berowra (Sydney) was pretty small!!
ReplyDeleteNice pics, & bonus seeing your friends book (& your acknowledgement!!). Soggy xxx
The library at Paihia is probably about the size of the children's section at Sorrento. 😀
